This year's club night at the SONIC MATTER Festival kicks off with a celebration for nostalgics: Syrian Cassette Archives are opening up their collection of pop music from the golden age of tape recording. In the later hours, guests from Cairo will meet established figures of Zurich's nightlife: Lua Jungck with a taste of her new dubstep album; ZULI, whose hip-hop roots shine through in his multi-layered DJ sets; Donia L Jelly, who play- fully intertwines hard beats with dreamy ambient sounds; and Ink! with his mix of techno, rave sounds, bass music and dub.
