Installation with listening pieces & performance

Over the course of 2021, the SONIC MATTER_village has been offering community centre workshops for the residents of various neighbourhoods in the canton of Zurich. These were dedicated to the auditory exploration of their own surroundings and to the construction of instruments from materials available on site. This turned the participants into an orchestra that records the sounds of its environment. The audio pieces that were created at these workshops enabled Zurich’s neighbourhoods to resound from the perspective of their inhabitants. At this live performance, the director of SONIC MATTER_village, Manon Fantini, will collaborate with some of those who participated, including guest artists, to offer insights into how each installation was created.

Suitable for all who like to watch and listen for 30 minutes.
Event partly in German or English depending on audience.
