Julia Maria Morf
BiographyFor Julia, video always takes place in interaction with other media - with music, language, acting, dance and space. She creates installations, clips for the screen, spaces for theatre or performs on stage in audiovisual projects.

Her basic principle is «collage» in the broadest sense of the word, applying this technique within the medium of video as well as in cross media contexts.

She loves technology, software and equipment. As a self-taught artist, she is always on the lookout for new technologies in order to make use of them for the conten and aesthetics of the vision of video art.

In 2004, she founded the multi-art collective pulp.noir together with the musician Thomas Fischer. In scenic, installative and performative works, this collective explores the absurdity of life and processes it in bizarre-surreal chains of associations consisting of video, music, text and scene. Julia is responsible for everything visual at pulp.noir - i.e. video, space, light, costume and props.
