| Biography | The Madness Ensemble is a supergroup of contemporary experimental music. It is an international collective of eleven energetic individualists who have all performed at at least one of the numerous #workoutjazz events for experimental music and performance in Zurich in recent years. The cross-stylistic, transdisciplinary character of these events enabled encounters that rarely take place elsewhere: Neue Musik meets free improvisation meets noise meets performance, fine arts, photography and film. The Madness Ensemble results from these encounters and combines acoustic and electronic instruments, sounding objects, video art and sound design within the framework of an indeterminate meta-composition.
