Biography | Manon Fantini (*1983) was born in French-speaking Switzerland and lives and works in Zurich. She graduated as an architect in Lausanne in 2009. In her artistic practice, which is on the border between performance and mediation, she creates terrains where potentials and unexpected synergies can emerge. Her formats, developed in close connection with given contexts, mobilize individuals and neighbourhoods, generate exchanges and foster positive curiosity for unexpected ideas. Her performances have enabled her to have collective experiences abroad (Architecture Biennale São Paulo 2017, Kunstverein Wagenhalle, Stuttgart, 2022) and in Switzerland, where she regularly organizes inclusive events with local artists and cultural partners (Theater Gessnerallee, Zurich 2020, Theater Südpol, Lucerne 2020–21). In Zurich, she regularly collaborates with festivals (SONIC MATTER, Open Futures), theatre groups and cultural organizations (Mercimax, L200) and the academic environment (HIC & NUNC, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Newrope, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule) to realize participatory performances and develop inclusive formats. |
