Having been researching forgotten piano works by women* composers for years, pianist Fidan Aghayeva-Edler commissions pieces for her instrument in order to strengthen the voices of women* composers in concert performances. She performs this repertoire in marathon concerts lasting up to 24 hours – always alternating with contributions from actress Mareike Hein, who recites texts, creates her own drawings live to the music or invites the audience to participate in short intermezzos. This creates a seemingly timeless space in which the works of women* composers can finally unfold in their entirety.
