| Biography | Alfonso Pretelt (*1987, Bogotá, Colombia) is a sound and interdisciplinary artist initially trained as an electroacoustic musician/composer and in cinematography. His is interested in the multiple possibilities of sound and perceptual forms that have led him on a transpersonal quest to materialize spirit and spiritualize consciousness. He has premiered works and video pieces in multiple festivals in Europe and Latin America such as Filevideoart, MAMM museum of modern art in Medellín, Insonora Spain, Understand visual music – Brazil, MUSIKHÖGSKOLANS KONSERTSERIE Sweden and Manizales image festival. He focuses on the body-interface search, combining gesture and phonetic sound in a syncretic racket turned to video and performance in Ideofonía Ancestral, a project developed in Buenos Aires Argentina from 2011 to 2014. He promotes deep listening experiences and pedagogies. Pretelt is the director and founder of the virtual magazine Ideofónica, Latin American auralities. |
