Ben Fawkes
Biography	Ben Fawkes (*1984) is a Berlin-based sound artist and musician originally from the United Kingdom. Having picked up the guitar at the age of ten, Ben has been playing in bands and music projects since the early 2000s. After a five year hiatus, he has returned to making music with a collection of loop, delay and space echo pedals. His aspiration is to create cinematic atmospheres ultimately made for the late hours or the early morning. ABOUT Ben Fawkes: «Pino» Recorded in a coal hut in September 2022 in Bennabio, the hills of Tuscany, Italy. Inspired by the likes of Jon Hassell and Brian Eno, Pino is a 13 minute experimental ambient piece using guitar, a looping pedal and a space echo pedal connected to an expression pedal to manipulate the speed and frequency of the delay. A variety of playing techniques were used such as a violin bow, an Ebow and chop sticks weaved in between the strings which we then manipulated to create the outro of the piece. Aside from the pre recorded loops the piece was recorded live while rain fell onto the metal roof of the coal hut.
