| Biography | Love & Revenge is part of a broader sociocultural effort aimed at reshaping perceptions associated with the Arab world. Through the power of music, the group aspires to offer an alternative perspective, far removed from the stereotypical representations often portrayed in the media. Love & Revenge position themself as a catalyst for change, unveiling the cultural richness of the region and encouraging a positive appreciation of its musical heritage. This approach is rooted in the belief that music has the power to transcend cultural boundaries and foster mutual understanding among people. Drawing on the large repertoire of Arabic pop and Egyptian film from the 1940s to 1990s, Love & Revenge create a fertile hybrid between the joys of the past and modern aesthetics. The group has performed over 150 concerts in 22 countries. It has appeared at La Philharmonie de Paris, (La Cité de la Musique), Fondation Cartier, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Institut du Monde Arabe, WOMEX, Red Sea Film Festival (Saudi Arabia). |
