| Biography | Nikos Stavropoulos (*1975) is a composer of predominantly acousmatic and mixed music. He studied composition at the University of Wales (Bangor, Wales, UK) with Andrew Lewis, and received his PhD from the University of Sheffield (England, UK) under the supervision of Adrian Moore. Stavropoulos’ music is regularly performed and broadcast around the world and has won several international awards. His practice focuses on notions of tangibility and immersivity in sonic experiences and the articulation of acoustic space, in the search of aural impossibilities.
