Biografie	Hery Kristian Buana Tanjung (*1989), auch bekannt als Hery Glenn, ist ein Komponist aus Samarinda, Indonesien. In seinem Streben nach musikalischen Experimenten taucht erin das Reich der Umweltklänge ein. Seine Leidenschaft für Minimal Music hat seine Aufmerksamkeit in letzter Zeit jedoch besonders auf elektroakustische Kompositionen gelenkt. Im Februar 2023 entwickelte er in Zusammenarbeit mit dem ensemble mosaik in Berlin sein Stück «Krompunk Grompunk» für gemischtes Ensemble, von dem bei diesem Zusammentreffen auch eine Aufnahme entstand. Buana Tanjung schloss sein Kunststudium am Yogyakarta Art Institute mit dem Hauptfach Musikkomposition unter der Leitung von Royke B. Koapaha und Memet Chairul Slamet ab. Er lernte Komposition bei Michael Asmara, Gatot Danar Sulistiyanto, Toni Maryana und Patrick Gunawan Hartono und besuchte mehrere Workshops bei Komponisten wie Roderik De Man, Slamet Abdul Sjukur, Vincent McDermott, Dieter Mack und Otto Sidharta. Ausserdem arbeitete er mit Choreograph:innen und Regisseur:innen wie Ángela Vela Hernández (Spanien) und Angel Salvatore (Philippinen) zusammen. Im Jahr 2019 gründete er gemeinsam mit seiner Frau, der Choreografin Valentina Ambarwati, das Kovajiva Mobile Studio. Processing of this material is done by recording the sound of weaving which is carried out by several weavers together. Then the recording is processed using a computer device. Here I process the sound material using Ableton and for some additions I use Max Msp to adjust the frequency and tempo randomly. In processing material, I also use a midi controller to adjust the frequency and produce timbre directly. In this work I imagine how the sound of the forest in Kalimantan will develop into a synthetic sound and when the sound of the forest is completely gone, we can only hear it through recordings. So from the word Bor(N)eo is a forest in Kalimantan (Kalimantan) and denotes that there will be a Birth that renews the previous birth. This process is what I call Bor(N)eo.
