Biografie	Nicolás Esteban Hernández (*1991) ist Komponist und Musikforscher. Er hat einen Master-Abschluss und einen Doktortitel in Komposition der Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Hernández' Werkkatalog beinhaltet Instrumentalmusik und elektroakustischen Musik. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich auf den kreativen Prozess, wobei er hauptsächlich Konzepte der Vorstellungskraft, musikalisches Material und Technik untersucht. ABOUT Nicolás Esteban Hernández / Luis Miguel Delgado: «Cartografía de un espacio oculto» «Cartografía de un paisaje oculto» (Cartography of a hidden landscape), is an electroacoustic work for stereo fixed tape created by two composers in different locations (Bucaramanga, Colombia and Pittsburgh, United States). This work synthesizes Barry Truax's concept of soundscape composition and free electroacoustic improvisation, taking as its theme the interrelation of the listener with the soundscape, and our role as recorders and sound agents alongside the landscape multiple agencies. Ideologically, this work presents the traditional concept of soundscape as a genre of fiction and proposes a different way of perceiving the landscape, from the interaction with (and within) different layers of the audible and inaudible soundscape, and the presence of the landscape capturer as a "maker" of Sound. This work enacts relations between field recordings made in the rural and urban sectors of both locations, including the soundscape and electromagnetic landscape of each site, and emerges through an entanglement with live tele-improvisation played by each composer with electroacoustic instruments and electronic processes via Zoom.
